Exploring the E-cigarette Market: The fastest growing countries

Vapes or e-cigarettes are becoming increasingly popular on a global scale, because e-cigarettes are considered healthier for users to use than conventional cigarettes.
Vape has a smell that doesn't stick to the user's clothes, and also has a more fragrant aroma so it is more popular with various groups.

The consumer insight statistical data company provides data regarding
Indonesia is the country that uses the most e-cigarettes in the world, especially in Asia. It has been recorded that 25% of respondents from Indonesia said they had used e-cigarettes at least occasionally. The survey was conducted online with around 1,000-9,500 respondents aged 18-64 years from a number of countries, including Indonesia. The survey was conducted in the period January-March 2023. Vaping has become increasingly popular in recent years, especially with the emergence of new brands, such as Jomotech

"In Indonesia, as many as 1 in 4 people surveyed by Statista Consumer Insights provided data that Indonesian citizens had used vape at least once," said Statista. Meanwhile in Europe, the Statista report shows that vaping is quite popular in Switzerland (15% of respondents) and the UK (13%). Vape use in the United States and Canada is also quite popular, even though it is below Indonesia, as shown in the graph above. On the other hand, the Statista report provides data that vaping is less popular in Brazil, where only 6% of respondents said they used vaping at least once. Even fewer in Morocco with only 2% of respondents answering the same.

Not only in Indonesia, as the country where vape or electric cigarette technology emerged, China is also the country with the most vape users in Asia. because the population of this country reaches 1.4 billion people. China also dominates 80% of the world's vape market with sales increasing by 33% in 2015.
“Disposable e-cigarettes have also drawn criticism for targeting young consumers through their marketing stunts and encouraging them to try the products. "Even though vapes don't burn tobacco, they often still contain nicotine, which is highly addictive," said Statista.

According to Statista's view, vaping is usually considered less dangerous than conventional cigarettes which are of course made from tobacco and vaping is also often used as an alternative to help users stop smoking.

In conclusion, Indonesia is ranked first in the world for the most vape users according to data taken by Statistics Consumer.
